Kinship Scholarship Program

Hundreds of children lost one or both parents in the 2015 Nepal earthquakes. These children, known as “earthquake orphans”, face significant obstacles in their daily lives. The pain of loss of family is often compounded by the need to leave school to support their own survival. KarmaFlights has developed a unique program to break this damaging cycle and protect these vulnerable children.

Our kinship scholarships are a long-term promise.  We pledge to support our scholarship recipients throughout the entire education process. This promise is guaranteed educational security; including school supplies, uniforms, basic medical care and food.

In communities completely devastated by natural disaster, KarmaFlights is offering hope to the hopeless. Those that had everything taken can now strive towards their dreams, knowing we are there for them every step along the way to success.

Currently, KarmaFlights is supporting about 175 students in Arnakot region in Baglung and in Rukum Maikot in West Nepal. Many thanks to our partners Action Autonomie Avenir (France) and Maya Foundation (The Netherlands) for supporting the scholarship program.

With your help, we can reach many more needy children through this life-changing scholarship program. Consider a monthly or annual donation, and be rest assured that you are providing security, hope and opportunity to a deserving child.
